Late Tudor Gown
This lovely Tudor gown is made of an
absolutely beautiful platinum/lavender dupioni silk. The
over gown is accented at the neckline, sleeves, and skirt front
with faux pearls, Czech glass beads and antique silver accents.
The front of the gown is split and accented with tiny silver
braid. The gown is fully lined and snaps at the back. The
sleeves have a bit of French/Italian look, and the soft cotton
shows through at the shoulder. The underskirt is made of a
soft silver brocade, and is fully lined, snapping at the back.
The headpiece is made of sturdy materials and covered in the
fabrics from the gown, and a long gray shimmer chiffon veil
hangs at the back. The headpiece is beaded in the same
beads as the gown. The jewelry is made of the same beads
as the gown and headpiece. Each bead on this gown has been
hand sewn on.
As with all of our items, great attention is paid to accurate
historical look and details.
